Most famous for his baritone voice
He married twice, his second wife being Maria Hawkins, a singer with the Duke Ellington Band. Nat had a daughter from his first marriage named Natilie, they adopted Maria's sister's daughter Carol and they adopted a son named Nat Kelly Cole. In 1961, Maria gave birth to twins, Timolin and Casey.
He passed away from lung cancer.
